My mission is to make beautiful, curve-friendly classic clothing that allows you to breathe free, move, work and express yourself.

To my dressing philosophy, a great garment is both aesthetic and practical. Even in a close-fit style, it's incredibly comfortable. It has the exact right amount of pockets and straps for functionality. It's so trustworthy that you would want to multiply it in your wardrobe.

Classic individuality

A hand-made bespoke garment is always individual, even when classic in style. In addition to formal and eveningwear, bespoke offers casual clothing that is and feels made for your unique everyday lifestyle – and everyday is what life mostly is.

Style & aesthetics

Each bespoke dressmaker and tailor has their own individual style of designing, cutting and finising their hand-made garments.

My work is characterised with softly tailored cut for a curvy shape, and aesthetic inspiration from nature, historical silhouettes and fantasy.

Natural materials

100 % natural fibre fabrics are durable and breathable, and they have a vivid integrity to them. With a proper maintainance, it will last a long time, and mending it is a worth-while investment.

I especially like to work with wool and linen. My cloth order selection includes the superior quality wools byt Vitale Barberis Canonico. You can also bring your own cloths for the project.

Fittings (1-3)

→ Most unlined basic garments take one fitting. Jackets, coats and evening gowns usually require 2 to 3 fittings.

Finished order

→ Your order is delivered either in person or via post.

→ You will receive clear written instructions on how to take care of your new garments.

Bespoke garments are priced by the hour, to which material costs are added. You will always receive a trustworthy price estimate before your commitment to the order.

Hourly rate 59 €/h

Home/office/hotel calls in Kuopio
• 25 €/visit (+ 0,55 €/km for destinations over 5 km from the city)

Visiting service (traveling 3-4 times a year)
• Jyväskylä 55 €/visit, Tampere 75 €/visit, Helsinki 95 €/visit

→ A binding order is placed along with a deposit fee, which is approximately 50 % of the final estimated price.

→ The remaining sum of the final price is payed upon delivery.

→ Payment method: card

→ Pricing incl. VAT 25,5 %.

A bespoke process usually takes 2-4 months, including all the appointments. Seasonal rush takes place in spring and autumn, which may affect the schedule.

The work queue and the fullness of the calendar vary, so don't hesitate to contact even on a short notice - I'm always happy to hear your inquiry and will do my best to help!

→ If the first bespoke order is for basic daywear, I highly recommend considering a set of multiple garments instead of one piece. Drafting and fitting the perfectly fitting individual pattern base blocks requires more time in the first order compared to any subsequent ones.

→ With more complex and structured garments, such as a traditionally tailored suit or an evening gown, this effect is less significant. Their patterns are unique to them, and they naturally involve a greater amount of finishing work.

About

Hi! I'm a tailor, dressmaker and solopreneur established in Kuopio, North Savonia.

I highly value traditional handcraftsmanship and a historically informed philosophy towards fashion and sartorial living: an individual, simultaneously timeless and time-fitting style, sustainable quality and, above all, the real, authentic connection with the individual customers. Every work project is uniquely meaningful and personal to me.

I have made bespoke garments since 2018. My education in textiles and fashion include a vocational degree and a further vocational degree in bespoke dressmaking, both taken in Educational Consortum Gradia, Jyväskylä. Currently I'm deeply intrigued by the intricacies of traditional bespoke tailoring, and my goal is a specialist vocational degree in the subject.

My other professional qualification is in singing: I have Master's in opera performance and a Bachelor's in vocal pedagogy. Bespoke clothing and singing challenge and reward me in a very similar way: both combine precice technical practice with creative expression and connection with people.
